The USDA issued a memo to schools on Friday that they will be extending all of their Free Meal Programs for at least a few more months during the COVID-19 Pandemic. These programs include the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, NSLP Seamless Summer Option, Summer Food Service Program and the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
Smethport School Board approved meal delivery and advised that all students will be eligible for the free meals, regardless if they are in school learning or distance learning. Meals will include an assortment of entrees, or sandwiches, fresh veggies, fruits and milk.
