The man who was shot during an incident in late December in Bradford has been charged with felony counts of criminal trespass and misdemeanor counts of assault.
Police say they arrested 32-year-old Carlos Gamble after investigating a reported criminal trespass at 65 Hillside Avenue on December 29.
Police stopped Gamble’s car at 11:11 a.m. on December 29 and discovered that he had been shot. Police never released the man’s name, but Gamble posted about it on Facebook. He’s free on unsecured bail with a preliminary hearing scheduled for February 24.
28-year-old James Williams III of Erie is charged for having the gun, but not for the actual shooting. He’s a convicted felon not allowed to have a gun, and was found hiding in a crawl space at the home.
Williams is in Erie County Prison on an unrelated charge. He’s scheduled for a formal arraignment in McKean County Court on Thursday. His Last Day to Plea is scheduled for March 25.
