Joseph M. Marasco, 67, of Bradford, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 4, 1954 in Bradford, a son of the late Joseph and Mary Healey Marasco.
He was a 1972 graduate of the Bradford Area High School. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in 1980 from the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford and he earned his Juris Doctor in 1983 from Duquesne University, Pittsburgh.
Joe was a member of the Robert H. Jackson Inn of Courts, and he served on the American Red Cross and the C.A.R.E. for Children Board of Directors.
He loved swimming at the YMCA and playing golf at the Penn Hills Club.
He had his own law firm in the Bradford area from 1984 until the present. He also served as the Juvenile Public Defender for McKean County for the past thirteen years.
He is survived by one son, Eric (Suzi) Marasco of Bradford; one daughter, Elizabeth Marasco of Boulder, CO; three brothers, Steve (Bridget) Marasco of Monument, CO, Bob (Julie) Marasco of Bradford, and John (Natalie) Marasco of Bradford; one sister, Kathy (Keith Mahon) Obermeyer of Bradford; two grandchildren, Leo and Sophia Marasco, both of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joseph Marasco and Mary Marasco Galey, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Bob Galey.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 21, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 12:00 Noon at the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
Private burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations in his memory to be made to the United Way of the Bradford Area, P.O. Box 504, Bradford, PA 16701.

Joe, I will remember years of laughs, talks and drinks. There was never a time when we would run into each other and not stop and visit. My heart hurts hearing this news.
