“No Feline Left Behind in McKean County” sent a representative to Tuesday’s City Council Meeting to explain the TNVR, or Trap, Neuter, Vaccinate and Return initiative.
Lindsay Trojanawski explained why the TNVR method for dealing with McKean County’s feral cat population is the best way to combat the issue
Doing nothing causes the population to multiply, finding homes for every single cat is “impossible”, and even removing the current population just means more feral cats will take their place “and the cycle continues.”
Mayor Tom Riel commended the non-profit’s work in the area assisting the feral cat population and took a potential financial gesture from the city towards their efforts under consideration.
