A Bradford man was sentenced to jail for assault.
According to a court docket, 35-year-old Adam Priest pled guilty on March 9th to one count of simple assault. The charge stemmed from an incident in Lewis Run on New Years’ Eve.
Judge Richard Engman sentenced Priest to not less than seven days and not more than 12 months confinement, with credit for 2 days’ time served.
Priest was also ordered to:
- Perform 50 hours of community service.
- Have a mental health evaluation (anger management), follow recommended treatment and pay costs.
- Pay $310 in restitution to the victim.
- Have no contact with the victim.
- Submit a DNA sample.
Since the charge is considered a “misdemeanor crime of domestic violence,” Priest was also forbidden to possess a firearm or ammunition under Federal Law.
