A Court has blocked efforts to buy out the contract of the City of DuBois’ City Manager.
Two weeks ago, the DuBois council voted to pay out the remainder of Herm Suplizio’s contract. Suplizio has been charged with embezzling over $600,000 from the City, its fire department, and the United Way. The council considered buying out the contract the first step in replacing Suplizio.
Now, Clearfield County Judge Frederic Ammerman has granted a temporary injunction requested by a group of City residents who say that buying out the contract would be rewarding a suspected criminal, and would cause harm to taxpayers and the City’s well-being.

It’s about time citizens had enough b^ll$ to make sure something got done to block this crook.
