A proposed amendment to the Pennsylvania Constitution would set an age limit for officeholders.
The amendment, proposed by Blair County Republican Representative Louis C. Schmitt, would bar anyone 75 years old or older from being elected Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Treasurer, Auditor General, Attorney General, or to the State Legislature.
The proposed limit is similar to a current one requiring judges to retire at 75.
Should have age limits plus term limits for ALL elected officials (even Supreme court)
Personally I think it should be 70 but if it can be passed I think it’s a great thing. One thing would even be better is having term limits, no more three.
