A local man is expected to fully recover from what he thought was a gunshot wound sustained in Corydon Township Sunday night.
State police are investigating an incident that took place in Willow Creek around 8:30 Sunday evening, which was initially believed to be a shooting. According to District Attorney Stephanie Vettenburg-Shaffer, medical personnel examining the victim ruled out a gunshot wound, and that this is “a potential physical assault by stabbing.”
The man was sent to an out-of-area hospital for treatment, and is expected to fully recover, she added.
The investigation is ongoing.
Sometimes the flesh ruptures in a way that resembles a gunshot crease or a knife cut.
