Steelers Explode for Most Points in Game Since 2018 in Win Over Bengals

On Sunday afternoon in Cincinnati, Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson picked apart the Cincinnati Bengals’ defense like a surgeon, throwing for 414 yards, the most for a Steelers quarterback since Ben Roethlisberger’s retirement following the 2021 season, as the Steelers had their way with the Bengals in a 44-38 win Sunday at Paul Brown Stadium.

After the game, head coach Mike Tomlin talked with the media. “It’s good to go on the road and get an AFC North victory,” said Tomlin. “It wasn’t an easy one. Obviously, man, particularly if you spot a group like that seven(points). They had big-time urgency, man, for a lot of reasons,” Tomlin continued. And so to come in here in their place against the type of quality team that they have and in this environment and smile on the face of it and get out of here with the necessary win, man, it just can’t say enough about the efforts of the guys.”

The point total is the most for the Steelers since they posted 52 points in a Thursday night game win over the Carolina Panthers in 2018. Wilson completed 29 of 38 passes, throwing three touchdown passes and posting a passer rating of 126.4. Wilson averaged 10.9 yards per pass attempt.

Next Sunday, the Steelers will be seeking revenge as they face the Cleveland Browns at home.
