Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital, Kaleida Health facilities, will bring some Christmas cheer to patients who will not be home with their families for the Christmas holiday.
Patients at BRMC, OGH as well as residents at the Pavilion, are being offered a festive holiday meal. In addition to their own meal, patients also received a complimentary meal for an invited guest to dine with them on Christmas Day.
“At this time of year, being away from loved ones during the holidays can feel overwhelming. However, we want to assure our patients and their families that we are committed to bringing holiday cheer and warmth to those who need it most. While we cannot replace the comfort of home, we are working hard to make the hospital environment feel as festive and special as possible,” said Robert Holzer, interim general manager, food and nutrition services. “We hope this small gesture helps bring a little holiday magic to our patients.”
The Christmas Day meal will consist of a beef entrée, roasted red potatoes, vegetable, grain, and dessert as well as meeting any further dietary requirements needed for each patient.
