Pennsylvania State Police have filed a criminal complaint against a Port Allegany man Sunday regarding the death of a woman whose body was found at the Midtown Motel in Port Allegany.
Troopers accused Brian Kuchinka of criminal homicide and other charges as he was known to be a hotel resident after breaking up with the missing woman.
The complaint reports that the police heard gunfire in the room and could smell gunpowder.
Troopers obtained surveillance footage that allegedly shows Kuchinka carrying what appears to be a woman’s body from a small vehicle into his room at the motel.
The victim’s body was found with a head injury consistent with a gunshot wound.
The investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on the case or a reported disturbance from the parking lot of Costa’s Supermarket in Smethport Friday night between 9 and 10pm that may be related to the case is requested to call State Police at (814) 368-9230 or 911.
