Pirates Drop Three of Four to Marlins in Seasoning Opening Road Trip

Things not going the way the Pittsburgh Pirates had hoped in their opening series on the road against the Miami Marlins as they dropped three of four games. There was one highlight, however, in their 3-2 loss on Sunday.

Andrew McCutchen hitting a leadoff homer in the top of the second inning that gave him his 800th career extra base hit. That’s third most among active players behind Freddie Freeman and Paul Goldschmidt.

The Pirates continue their road trip against Tampa Bay tonight (March 31).
