Two City of Olean police officers were arrested earlier this month, according to a press release issued by New York State Police yesterday.
50-year-old Patrolman Jason DeYoe faces charges of 2nd degree sexual conduct against a child, as well as 2nd degree unlawful surveillance, which are both felonies. DeYoe was arraigned in Portville Town Court and is due back in court on June 5.
Also facing charges is 47-year-old Patrolman Jason Boon, who was arrested on May 12 on charges of 3rd degree assault and criminal obstruction of breathing, which are both misdemeanors, after an investigation determined that Boon was involved in a domestic incident during which he assaulted the victim.
Both officers have been suspended without pay until the matters are concluded.
