After allegedly expressing no signs or remorse or accountability, the Pennsylvania Parole Board once again denied parole for Paul Morrisroe.
Formerly of Marshburg, the 49-year old was convicted of vehicular homicide by in the June 2015 hit-and-run death of Dakota Heinaman in Cyclone.
In February 2017, he was sentenced to 7 ½ to 15 years in prison for charges including homicide by vehicle while DUI.
Morrisroe has been denied parole twice and will again be eligible for parole consideration in March 2026.
It’s terrible when someone innocent is killed by a intoxicated driver…my sincere condolences to the victims family…IDK the circumstances of the crash , it’s not a accident bc he chose to drive intoxicated causing the crash that claimed another person’s life however as sad and heartbreaking as it is for the victims family i don’t see the point in denying parole considering the defendant will eventually be released if he serves his maximum sentence of 15 years there’s no hook ( parole & strict parole requirements ) prevent him from doing the same thing again it seems society would be safer from his behavior driving intoxicated if he was released with strict supervised requirements instead of being a tax payer liability without mandatory supervision & treatment to discourage recidivism DUI …I seriously doubt he became intoxicated with the intent to kill anyone more likely he had a pattern of driving intoxicated that eventually resulted in the death of a innocent victim
Thank you, thank you, council for the defense. You can rest now. However, Mr. Morrisroe will not be released at this time. Look on the bright side, we’ve already paid for two third of his stay.
Morrisroe should have known better and then left the scene leaving that poor boy to die. Luckily, the police were able to follow the tracks he left and locate his vehicle and then him. It was disgraceful situation and the family was left without this young man. 💔
