Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, are proud to announce the winners of the 2025 July Star Awards. This month’s BRMC and OGH recipients were Tedi Phillips and Sara Berlin-Hilliard, respectively.
Tedi Phillips, a lead cook in the food and nutrition department, has been with BRMC since 2024 and was honored as the BRMC July Star Award recipient.
“Tedi is such a friendly and positive presence to have around. From the moment she started here, she’s been a joy to work with. She genuinely cares that people are happy with their meals and always goes the extra mile to make sure everything is just right,” read her nomination. “You can always count on her to greet you with a smile and a great attitude. She’s approachable, thoughtful and always ready and willing to help however she can.”
Sara Berlin-Hilliard, an administrative assistant in the nursing department, was the recipient of the OGH July Star Award. Sara joined OGH in 2021.
“Sara is deeply committed to her work, colleagues and the staff that she interacts with in the office. Sara is known for her compassion, eagerness to learn and consistently embraces her responsibilities within the department,” read her nomination. “Sara takes initiative in her role, always ready to assist others, offer support and share her extensive knowledge. The support she has provided to the nursing department over the years is invaluable and immensely appreciated.”
The Star Award is presented monthly to an employee who demonstrates outstanding performance and inspires the same in others. Staff members are nominated for exceptional customer satisfaction, continuous performance improvement, teamwork, communication, ownership/accountability and excellence through co-worker or patient nominations.
The following were also nominated for Star Awards at BRMC: Stefanie Buley, emergency department; Linda Fuoco, general surgery; Danyelle Lupton, outpatient rehabilitation; and Lucille Nuzzo, practice management. OGH nominees were: Payton Fiske, RN, second floor; Stacey Green, infection control; Jennifer Lewis, pharmacy; Megan Sittig, inpatient physical therapy; and Riley Vallance, dental clinic.
Star award recipients receive a chamber of commerce gift certificate, additional paid time off, a certificate of recognition and the star award parking spot.
