The Salamanca Police Department is warning residents of a new scam.
Scammers have been using the Salamanca Police Department phone numbers and identifying as Salamanca Police Officers requesting financial information.
On a post the department made on their Facebook page, they say that the Salamanca Police would never contact anyone via phone and solicit anything financial.
If you receive any of these calls hang up and report it to the Salamanca Police Department.
