The season for Buffalo Bills defensive tackle DeWayne Carter is seemingly done.
According to The SchultzReport, the second-year backup will miss the entire season after he tore an his Achilles tendon. The team has not officially confirmed the news, as of Sunday night.
The 24-year-old Duke product was selected in the third round of the 2024 NFL Draft and missed five games last season due to a wrist injury. He started three games and played in 11 last season, finishing with 14 tackles.
The Bills already had depth issues at defensive tackle with veteran defensive tackle Larry Ogunjobi missing the first six games while serving a league suspension for violating the NFL’s performance-enhancing substances policy.
The Bills open the season Sunday night against the Baltimore Ravens at Highmark Stadium.
