New York State Troopers responded to I-86 in Olean between exits 25 and 26 for a report of a pedestrian standing in the roadway attempting to wave down passing vehicles after midnight on Sunday morning.
While patrol was in route, dispatch reported a vehicle collision in that area involving a teenage boy.
Investigation determined that 16-year-old Camrin E. Poe was in the east bound lane of I-86 and was struck by a 2018 Dodge Durango. Poe was deceased at the scene, and the operator of the Durango was cooperative and showed no signs of impairment.
No charges have been filed at this time.
