The ribbon was cut today at HALO day spa in Cuba, an affordable and close-to-home wellness therapy source.
Owner Marika Burke offers three therapies – halotherapy, also known as salt therapy, which aids with respiratory and skin help.
A red light sauna provides the same health benefits as a steam sauna with less heat.
Burke, a certified VAT practitioner, also provides vibroacoustic therapy, which uses low-frequency sound vibrations to relax the body and mind.
Present at the ribbon cutting were Kevin White and Paula Bernstein, of the Cuba and Greater Olean Area chambers of commerce. Representatives from the office of assembly man Joe Sempolinski and senator George Borrello presented Burke with with certificates acknowledging the new business, and Burke also thanked the accord corporation in Belmont for their assistance in putting together a business plan.
