The victim of a fiery single-car crash in Kane Borough last week has been identified.
McKean County Coroner Michael Mascho identified the victim as 15-year-old Jason Fleming of Kane, ruling blunt force trauma as the cause of death.
Mascho said Fleming was the only person in the vehicle when it crashed into the Fine Wine and Good Spirits store on Fraley Street around 4 am Sunday. The vehicle proceeded to catch on fire, which spread to the storefront and apartments above it, requiring a large response from several regional fire departments.
Firefighters said they were on the scene for almost seven hours before the all-clear was given, and that two people were taken to the hospital but have since been released and are doing well.
