A Buffalo woman and a Buffalo teenager were arrested after a multiple town car chase beginning in Great Valley early Saturday morning.
Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged 18-year-old Ariel Ramos & a 17-year-old boy with Criminal Possession of Stolen Property and Obstructing Governmental Administration.
The teenager was the driver and he was additionally charged with Unlawful Fleeing a Police Officer in a Motor Vehicle and 10 uniform traffic tickets.
The charges stem from the report of a car parked in the middle of the roadway on Peth Road in Great Valley.
The teen driver refused to stop causing a chase where the vehicle was partially disabled by a spike strip deployed by Ellicottville Police Department.
The teen continued driving until he lost control of the vehicle on Route 16 in Machias where both Ramos and the teen attempted to flee on foot.
Deputies were advised that the vehicle was reported stolen from Hamburg.
The suspects were also in possession of multiple stolen wallets, multiple stolen car keys, a stolen rifle and stolen cash all from unlocked vehicles in the Great Valley and Ellicottville Area.
Ramos and the teen were released on appearance tickets with more charges are expected to be filed.
