The City of Bradford Police Department responded to a report of a suspicious package at Zippo Manufacturing Headquarters late this morning.
According to a Facebook post made by the department, out of an abundance of caution, the building was evacuated and Barbour Street was blocked off.
The Pennsylvania State Police Bomb Squad and the Erie City Bomb Squad responded to the scene.
Following a careful review of the package, it was determined that the contents were safe and the building was released back to Zippo officials.
The City of Bradford Police Department extends its gratitude to the Bradford City Fire Department, the Pennsylvania State Police, the Erie City Bomb Squad, and all first responders involved in this operation.
