The St. Bonaventure Bonnies softball was in action over the weekend in Atlantic 10 play, taking on the Saint Louis Billikens softball.
The Bonnies dropped the opener 6 to 2, despite a two-hit effort from Emily McAllister, who also drove in a run. In game two, St. Bonaventure showed more life offensively, but fell 5 to 3, with Maddie DiMatteo collecting a pair of hits and an RBI.
In the series finale, the Bonnies were held to just one run in a 7 to 1 loss, with Kendall Watkins scoring the lone run after reaching base twice.
In the circle, Jenna Sroka took the loss in the opener, while Paige Smith worked into the middle innings in game two, but control issues and walks proved costly throughout the weekend.
Now, St. Bonaventure turns the page. They’ll be back in action Wednesday at 3 p.m., hosting the Buffalo Bulls softball.
