Buffalo Sabres hockey — and tonight, the city of Buffalo has a chance to witness something it hasn’t seen in nineteen years.
The Sabres come home to KeyBank Center tonight with a three-games-to-one series lead over the Boston Bruins — one win away from advancing to the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since two-thousand-and-seven.
Buffalo has been dominant in this series — outscoring Boston fifteen-to-nine across four games, including Sunday’s six-to-one blowout in Beantown that put the Bruins on the brink. The Sabres are sixty percent favorites to close it out tonight per the NHL’s own projections.
The crowd at KeyBank will be electric — and Lindy Ruff’s squad has every reason to finish the job on home ice rather than let Boston breathe another day.
Game Five — tonight — KeyBank Center in Buffalo. Puck drops at 7:30EDT.
