A Bradford man was charged with attempting to illegally purchase a firearm.
City of Bradford Police charged 33-year-old Tyrone Bailey with illegal transfer of firearms and making a false statement.
The charges stem from Bailey allegedly attempting to purchase a pistol from Sportsmans Outlet.
During the purchase process, Bailey completed the required federal and state forms, including the ATF Form 4473 and the Pennsylvania State Application of Sale SP4-113.
On both forms, Bailey answered “NO” to questions regarding being subject to a court order of protection despite having an active order of protection issued out of New York State.
The Pennsylvania State Police Firearms Unit provided copies of the completed forms and the order of protection.
Bailey was remanded to the McKean County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
