A Mt Jewett man was arrested after a low-speed police chase through Buffalo and Cheektowaga after an alleged burglary early Monday morning.
Cheektowaga Police charged 50-year-old Gregory J Siegmyer with Burglary, Criminal Mischief, Possession of Burglars Tools, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Reckless Endangerment, Unlawfully Fleeing a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, and Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.
The charges stem from Siegmyer allegedly breaking into a Kwik Fill on Broadway in Cheektowaga.
Police allegedly saw Siegmyer’s vehicle leaving the parking lot and chased the vehicle through the City of Buffalo after it initially refused to cooperate in a traffic stop.
The vehicle was eventually stopped on Route 5 in Lackawanna.
Siegmyer is currently being held at the Cheektowaga Police holding center as police are trying to determine if he acted alone.
