The Carolina Hurricanes are Stanley Cup Champions.
Last night in Vegas, the Hurricanes shut out the Golden Knights 3-0 in Game Six to win the series four games to two. Carolina scored once in each period and never looked back — out-shooting Vegas twenty-three to twenty-two while goaltender Brandon Bussi and the ‘Canes defense kept the Knights off the board entirely. Nikolaj Ehlers scored the clinching empty-netter to seal it.
It’s Carolina’s first Stanley Cup since two-thousand-and-six — twenty years in the making. The Storm surge is complete.
