A $1.25 million Pennsylvania state grant has been issued to Universal Primary Care to assist with their planned expansion at 2 Center St.
This project is expected to triple the facility’s current patient capacity and would allow UPC to provide care for an additional 3,500 patients annually.
The proposed expansion will include new examination rooms, dental services, behavioral health suites, an on-site laboratory and even an on-site pharmacy.
Bradford actually received $1.8 million through the Redevelopment Capital Assistance Program, with the other $600,000 going towards the City of Bradford Police Department’s project of turning the former Northwest Savings Bank on West Washington Street into a new police station.
Bradford Police Chief Mike Ward stated the department will hopefully be able to move into the new station by 2027.
