Teen Charged with DWI After Trying to Run from Police in Salamanca

A teenager was charged with driving while intoxicated after a traffic stop on Broad St in Salamanca early Sunday morning.

Deputies of the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office charged the 17-year-old boy with DWI and eluding police after the teen allegedly tried to flee the traffic stop on foot.

The boy was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Cattaraugus County Youth Court at a later date.
