History at Saint Vincent College today. Players reported to camp yesterday, but today marks the Pittsburgh Steelers’ first practice of the Mike McCarthy era — and the first one open to the public. It’s the first time in nearly two decades someone other than Mike Tomlin has led this team onto the field in Latrobe. It’s also a reunion story: McCarthy and Aaron Rodgers won a Super Bowl together in Green Bay, and now they’re running it back for one more run in Pittsburgh.
Plenty of storylines to track as pads eventually come on August 3rd — receiver Roman Wilson, a 2024 draft pick who never found his footing after a camp injury as a rookie, gets a real chance in year three to build chemistry with Rodgers and carve out a role in this new offense.
