Thomas James McElhattan was sentenced this afternoon for the murder of 21-year-old Rebecca Hayes.
After hearing impact statements from Hayes’ family, McElhattan did not make a statement before sentencing.
McElhattan was ultimately sentenced to life without parole.
He must also pay various court fees and is to have no contact with the victim’s family.
