Manager Aaron Boone’s club still has plenty to like even after Wednesday’s loss. Aaron Judge was cleared for light activity this week after his fractured rib was re-imaged, and he remains confident about returning before the season ends — a boost the lineup badly needs down the stretch.
New York now sits at 64 and 51, second in the A-L East, and holding the top American League Wild Card spot. The Yankees get a day off before hosting the Atlanta Braves for a three-game series starting Friday night at Yankee Stadium, kicking off a nine-game homestand that also includes Seattle later in the month.
