Ryan Weathers turned in one of his best outings of the season Tuesday night, and this time the Yankees backed him up. Weathers retired 10 batters in a row at one point, working deep into the game without allowing more than a run on 77 pitches, as New York beat Seattle 4-to-1 at Yankee Stadium. The bullpen locked things down behind him to close it out.
It’s now three straight strong starts for Weathers, and the win keeps the Yankees rolling as they look to take the series Wednesday night at Yankee Stadium. Will Warren with take the mound for the Yankees at 7:05pm EDT.
