The Yankees offense finally broke loose. New York pounded out 13 hits in a 10-to-5 win over the Mariners at Yankee Stadium, snapping a stretch where six straight wins had come by two runs or less. Ryan McMahon and Trent Grisham both delivered two-run singles in a decisive seventh inning, and the Yankees went 4-for-10 with runners in scoring position. It capped a wild night that included a five-minute delay when three fans ran onto the field during the fifth inning. Grisham also delivered two home runs on the night for a 4-RBI game.
New York closes out the series Thursday at one-thirty-five Eastern, with Max Fried on the mound opposite Seattle’s Logan Gilbert. The Yankees then hit the road to open a series in Toronto on Friday.
