Jared Jones started for Pittsburgh opposite Milwaukee’s Logan Henderson, who entered the night with a sharp 2.34 ERA. The loss drops the series to Milwaukee, two games to none, as the Brewers continue closing in on their fourth straight N-L Central title.
The Pirates try to salvage the finale Thursday, again at PNC Park, as they continue their push to stay within reach of a Wild Card spot down the stretch.
