The Steelers are back in the win column. Pittsburgh improved to 2-1 on the season, beating Cincinnati 30-27 in a shootout that came down to the final two minutes — a much-needed response after last week’s road loss to New England.
Aaron Rodgers outdueled Joe Burrow, finishing 19-of-34 for 292 yards and 3 touchdowns, spreading it around to Roman Wilson and DK Metcalf for scores. Jaylen Warren carried the load on the ground — 17 carries, 127 yards. But Burrow was brilliant too: 282 yards, 3 touchdowns, no interceptions, and Ja’Marr Chase went off for 98 yards and a score.
The difference came late. A Chris Boswell field goal with 2:15 left put the Steelers up 30-27 — then the defense sealed it, sacking Burrow on the next series and recovering the fumble to end any comeback hope.
The Steelers now have a short week as they square off on Thursday, October 1 in Cleveland against the Browns.
