The Buffalo Bills’ perfect start is over. The New England Patriots beat Buffalo twenty-nine to twenty-six Sunday at Highmark Stadium, dropping the Bills to three and one.
Buffalo led twenty-six to twenty-one after Josh Allen hit Keon Coleman for a thirty-four-yard touchdown with four twenty-seven to play. But Drake Maye answered, finding Efton Chism the Third for a twenty-three-yard score with one-fifty left, then Rhamondre Stevenson on the two-point try to take the lead.
Allen’s last drive died when Craig Woodson intercepted him at the New England nineteen with one-fourteen remaining. Allen finished twenty-three of thirty-three for two hundred fifty-three yards, one touchdown through the air, that one interception, and a rushing score. Coleman caught six passes for one hundred sixteen yards. Maye threw for two hundred sixty-nine yards and three touchdowns.
Buffalo is back on the road Monday night, October twelfth, at the Los Angeles Rams. Kickoff is 8:15pm EDT. The radio pregame begins at 7:15 EDT on 100.1, The Hero.
