Two National League Division Series games Tuesday night, and the Dodgers and Padres both came out on top.
In Atlanta, Yoshinobu Yamamoto struck out ten in seven innings, a postseason career high, allowing one run as the Dodgers beat the Braves three to one. Kiké Hernández hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning and Freddie Freeman followed with a solo shot, all against Chris Sale, who went five innings. Los Angeles leads the series two games to one and is a win away from the NLCS. Game Four is Wednesday at six Eastern.
In San Diego, the Padres stayed alive with a four to three win over Milwaukee. Jake Cronenworth’s fifth-inning homer put San Diego ahead, and Xander Bogaerts scored on a Brewers throwing error in the sixth. Michael King, on short rest, pitched the final two innings for the save. The Brewers still lead two games to one, and all three games have been decided by a single run. Game Four is Wednesday at ten Eastern.
