The Buffalo Sabres’ two-game winning streak is over. Jake Oettinger made twenty-six saves for his second straight shutout, and Dallas beat Buffalo 4-0 Thursday night at KeyBank Center.
Jason Robertson scored on a two-on-one in the first period. In the second, Sam Steel, Mikko Rantanen and Roope Hintz scored within six minutes, Hintz on the power play. Rantanen had a goal and three assists.
Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen stopped fourteen of eighteen shots. He’s one and two this season with a save percentage of point seven eight two, down from point nine one oh last year.
Buffalo outshot Dallas twenty-six to eighteen but went oh for three on the power play. The Sabres, now two and two, host Utah Saturday.
