The Bills will be without safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson for a game. The NFL suspended him one game, without pay, for spitting toward Raiders players in Sunday’s thirty-three to thirty win in Las Vegas.
Gardner-Johnson was ejected shortly before halftime after an exchange with Raiders tight end Brock Bowers. Center Tyler Linderbaum was also among those targeted. The league cited its sportsmanship rule. It was Gardner-Johnson’s second fifteen-yard penalty in two weeks.
He’ll miss the Ravens game November first, after the Bills’ bye. He has the right to appeal.
Gardner-Johnson apologized to his teammates in a social media post. The Bills are 5-1.
