The Philadelphia 76ers topped the Brooklyn Nets 96-84 in game 2 of their first-round playoff series.
Tyrese Maxey hit six 3-pointers and scored 33 points, Joel Embiid and Tobias Harris had 20 apiece, and the third-seeded 76ers took a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference matchup.
Embiid, the two-time NBA scoring champion, was somewhat quiet offensively, going 6 of 11 from the floor, but he did just about everything else. The MVP finalist had 19 rebounds, seven assists and three blocks.
Elsewhere in the NBA Playoffs, the Sacramento Kings topped the Golden State Warriors 114-106 to put the defending champion Warriors down 2-0 for the first time in the Steph-Curry era.
