The National Hockey League has released its 2023-24 regular season schedule for all 32 teams on Tuesday.
The Buffalo Sabres will officially begin their 2023-24 campaign on Thursday, Oct. 12 when they play host to the New York Rangers at KeyBank Center.
The Pittsburgh Penguins, meanwhile, will open the season 2 days earlier at home against the Chicago Blackhawks and potentially forward Connor Bedard, the presumed top overall selection in this year’s draft Tuesday, Oct. 10.
Coincidentally, both teams will start their season with 6 home games in the month of October, including 4-game homestands for both teams. The two teams will first face off against each other on Saturday, Nov. 11 at PPG Paints arena, and again on Black Friday, November 25 at KeyBank Center.
