A new study shows that McKean County is the second poorest county in Pennsylvania.
The website SmartAsset based their results on figures such as median income, investment income and median home values from sources such as the U.S. Census Bureau, real estate site Zillow, and the U.S. Internal Revenue Service.
McKean County ranked as the second poorest county out of Pennsylvania’s 67 with a median income of only $52,350 and a 13.4% poverty rate.
Cameron County ranked as poorest with a $43,615 median income and a 13.4% poverty rate.
