Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Tommy Doyle will be out for the entire 2023 season, as head coach Sean McDermott announced yesterday.
While McDermott did not disclose the specific injury, Doyle injured his left leg during the third quarter of the team’s 27-15 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers Saturday night.
Doyle tore the ACL in his right knee in Week 3 in 2022 which cost him almost the entirety of last season, as well.
The injury makes the Bills even thinner at tackle after Brandon Shell announced his intention to retire last week.
McDermott also said that quarterback Matt Barkley is day-to-day with a right elbow injury, and that tight end Dawson Knox should be back at practice today when the team holds it’s walk-through. Knox was held out of Saturday’s game with a finger injury.
