Four veteran starters on defense did not practice for the Pittsburgh Steelers yesterday, including one at a position where an important player was lost for the season last week.
Inside linebacker Elandon Roberts sat out practice because of a knee injury, according to the status report. Roberts was limited at Wednesday’s practice, but there has been no mention of any ailment to the media. Roberts figured to play a big role in picking up the slack after the loss of Cole Holcomb.
Also not practicing yesterday were safety Minkah Fitzpatrick and defensive linemen Montravius Adams and Cameron Heyward.
The Steelers will host the 3-5 Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
