Bradford Man Charged with Dozens of Counts of Sexual Assault of a Child

A Bradford man is in McKean County Jail on 60 felony counts relating to sexual assault of a child.

36-year-old Andrew Wegemer-Silsby was charged with dozens of felony counts of rape of a child and statutory sexual assault.  According to the criminal complaint, Wegemer-Silsby allegedly had sexual contact with a juvenile female about 20 times starting when the child was 10 years old.  According to state police, Wegemer-Silsby admitted to the allegations when interviewed.

Wegemer-Silsby was arraigned April 26 and remanded to McKean County Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail. A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for May 29 before District Judge Rich Luther.
