Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH), Kaleida Health facilities, are proud to announce the winners of the 2025 September Star Awards. This month’s BRMC and OGH recipients were Rosa Macilvaine and Chanell Jones, respectively.
Rosa Macilvaine, an office coordinator for the sleep disorders center, has been with BRMC since 2018 and was honored as the BRMC September Star Award recipient.
“Rosa recently identified that a patient’s insurance was not accepted while obtaining an authorization,” read her nomination. “Rosa worked to ensure that this information was accurate and communicated to every area within the hospital to prevent the patient from receiving unnecessary bills due to lack of information. Rosa truly puts every patient first, and never hesitates to help out. When she is visiting other areas and recognizes something that needs done, she jumps right in to assist in completing the task. We are lucky to have such a caring and patient-first person like Rosa working for BRMC.”
Chanell Jones is a nurse assistant working on second floor who joined OGH in 2024. She was the recipient of the OGH September Star Award.
“Chanell was extremely kind and caring to my mom during her stay. The compassion and patience she showed made a difficult time much easier for our family,” read her nomination. “You can tell that she not only cares deeply for her patients but also enjoys the work she does. Her kindness left a lasting impression, and both my mom and our entire family are so grateful for the care she provided. OGH is lucky to have someone like Chanell!”
The Star Award is presented monthly to an employee who demonstrates outstanding performance and inspires the same in others.
