This FREE festival in Kellettville celebrates the annual mating displays of Pennsylvania's State Insect, the firefly (aka lightning bugs) including the Synchronous firefly in the forest area and the "Chinese Lanterns" along the Tionesta Creek. The celebration includes live music and food, craft vendors and children's activities, nature exhibits and special guest firefly experts starting at 12-noon until 9 pm. At dusk, the public firefly viewing begins and "Art After Dark" performances and displays are planned. Guided firefly walks are available with registration. Pre-registration begins May 1st. Subscribe to the PAFF Newsletter at pafireflyfestival.org to get advance notice of the on-line registration.
