Pitt- Bradford has received a $600,000 gift from the estate of Wesleah Blair of Bradford to establish a new scholarship for nursing students.
Blair died last year in Bradford at the age of 92.
Attorney Mark Hollenbeck, a friend of Blair’s who helped set up her estate plan, said that Mrs. Blair always appreciated the compassion of the nurses who took care of her husband, who had died young, and that was why she wanted to create the nursing scholarship.
The first awards will be made in the 2019-2020 academic year.
