The Pittsburgh Pirates will begin the 2018 season with five straight games against American League teams, including the March 29 opener at Detroit against the Tigers. It will be the second straight year the Pirates start with an interleague series. The home opener is set for April 2 against the Minnesota Twins. The 2018 interleague rotation will have the Pirates play the AL Central next season. In addition to the Twins, the Tigers, Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals will come to PNC Park. On the road, the Pirates will play the White Sox Cleveland Indians and Minnesota Twins.
